My name is Samantha Roling, though I normally go by Sam. I grew up in North Iowa on a farm, which started my love for animals at a young age. By junior high, I was training our family dogs and in high school, I started volunteering in shelters and shadowing the local vet clinic. I then graduated Iowa State University with a degree in Animal Science.

I moved to Muscatine in 2020 with my husband. In 2022, we adopted my partner in crime, Joe, who inspired me to pivot my career to dog training. I dove headfirst into familiarizing myself with the industry, reading everything I could get my hands on, and finding my niche. I started a job at the local dog daycare, Zoomiez, and got more hands-on experience with different breeds, how dogs interact, and reading body language. Zoomiez brought us our second dog, Gracie, Joe’s best bud who needed a new home. I went through the Karen Pryor professional dog trainer Academy, and became a certified training partner. Now, I want to help as many people and their dogs as possible using force-free, fear-free methods.
